Adolescence is a time of rapid change and challenges for both the parent and the adolescent. Many issues relate not just to physical development but also psychological and behavioral changes.
At a certain developmental age, parents are asked to “step out” of the exam room to give the adolescent a chance to discuss their health in a confidential manner.
Although the adolescent is given confidentiality, the parents are never left out of the loop and continue to be included in their child’s care.
We do see our patients by appointment only. We make every effort to accommodate families with sick children and reserve same day appointment slots each day.
We do our best to work you in if you do walk in without an appointment. Sick children are always seen. Saturday, Sunday and Holiday visits are available when needed for acute illness.
